Sara McCord
Story
Hi there!
My name is Sara McCord, I live in Arkansas with my spouse and four kids. I am a nurse practitioner who works in Cardiovascular Surgery. I have been in healthcare for 15 years. Our four kiddos keep us on our toes. My favorite part of running is showing them that we do hard things and that we need to do things that challenge us. Our family grew in a non-traditional way. We have two biological children and two adopted children. We are passionate about children and reaching those in disadvantaged situations. Running with KCA aligns with my desire to meet children where they are and help them rise above the circumstances of life.
This November 5th, I plan to run the New York City Marathon. In doing so, I will be partnering with KCA to support children who are in need. KCA specifically focuses on the HIV/AIDS epidemic by providing children, young people and their families with comprehensive treatment, care and support to not only survive but thrive for a lifetime.
I'm making a difference by fundraising for a cause that's close to our hearts. Keep a Child Alive works to support children in distress and need. It gives hope to those that have lost hope. Please support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice. Thanks so much for your support!
Keep A Child Alive
OUR MISSION: Changing the world, one child at a time. Co-founded in 2003 by Alicia Keys, KCA fights for children. We want every child to have the opportunity to be all they can, no matter where they start in life. We stand with them, as they overcome and thrive.
